Financial Analyst (Senior or Lead/Subject Matter Expert) The Boeing Company's Defense Satellite Systems team is looking for a Financial Analyst to fill a Senior (Level 4) or Lead/Subject Matter Expert (Level 5) role in El Segundo, California. This Financial Analyst will be responsible for integrating the financials on a monthly and quarterly cycles and creating the customer’s monthly, quarterly and annual Contract Data Requirements List (CDR’s). The candidate must be able to communicate and present to executive leadership and help lead discussions on providing financial and potential risk, opportunities or issues recommendations. About Satellite Systems Communication Programs (SSCP) SSCP drives innovative capabilities for the Warfighter and relies on talented finance professionals to deliver products that enhance business management. Position Responsibilities Senior – Level 4 Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and communicates cost and/or schedule trends, assessing opportunities and risks. Develops performance reports and integrates variance analyses to provide clear, concise understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management. Works with program/project leadership to handle a program baseline and implement Earned Value Management. Completes the monthly Forecast analysis and supports customer deliverables. Lead/Subject Matter Expert – Level 5 Performs all Level 4 responsibilities and acts as a Finance Subject Matter Expert. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Currently have a Bachelor’s degree or higher. 3+ years of experience in a finance-related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, or Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement. 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management. 3+ years of experience performing Estimates at Completion (EACs). 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel using formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate data in senior leadership briefings. Experience leading projects or teams. Experience leading projects or teams with little direct supervision and driving projects to completion. Experience with Deltek, COGNOS, COBRA, Earned Value Management software, and other accounting systems containing historical cost data. Experience with financial planning processes and tools. Pay & Benefits Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4): $122,400 - $165,600 Summary pay range for Lead/SME (Level 5): $151,300 - $204,700 Benefits include health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and various paid and unpaid time-away programs.
