Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse is needed in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This role involves providing care to neuro patient populations, including stroke, neurosurgical, seizure, and other neurology patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Arlington Heights, Illinois
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois License, Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, 2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing, experience with EPIC charting, and strong Med/Surg skills
• Preferred Qualifications: Neuro patient care experience, including stroke, neurosurgical, and seizure patients
• Float: As Needed to other Medical Surgical units
• Additional Information: Nurse/patient ratio of 1/5 or 1/6, neuro patient population including but not limited to stroke, spine, cranial, ENT, and seizure patients; orientation scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with credentials due the Thursday before the start date; orientation hours include 10 hours nonbillable, with 8 hours for EPIC training and 12 hours on unit
