Location: Lufkin, TX 75904
Start: ASAP
Pay: $31/hr
Shift: Days | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM | 4x10s (Thursday–Sunday)
Facility Size: 149 Beds
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Medical Technologist (MT)— not MLT —for an ASAP-start contract in Lufkin, TX. This role is perfect for a seasoned generalist who is confident working across multiple laboratory disciplines and thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment.
You’ll be a key part of the lab team performing accurate and timely testing that directly impacts patient care.
Responsibilities:Perform routine and complex lab testing as a Generalist
Handle Blood Bank , Microbiology , Hematology, Chemistry, and Urinalysis
Analyze, verify, and report results according to established protocols
Maintain quality control procedures and instrument maintenance
Communicate critical results and collaborate with clinical teams
Float to other lab areas as needed
Provide shift coverage if requested (no assigned call)
MT/MLS ASCP Certification required
Bachelor’s degree required
Must have Blood Bank experience
Generalist experience across multiple disciplines (including Microbiology)
Minimum 1 year of clinical lab experience
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing workload
No block scheduling allowed
