Shipping & Receiving Team Member
Immediately Seeking! Shipping & Receiving Team Member Spencer, Iowa Competitive Pay | 1st Shift | MondayFriday | Training Provided | Long-Term Career Opportunity
Job Duties
- Work as part of the shipping and receiving team in a manufacturing environment.
- Verify outgoing shipments by comparing products and quantities against shipping documents.
- Properly package, label, and load materials for transport.
- Receive incoming shipments and inspect materials for accuracy and damage.
- Route incoming materials to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Organize raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory.
- Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy throughout the facility.
- Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase recycling efforts.
- Maintain company vehicles used within the department.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, internal departments, and suppliers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and basic math skills are required.
- Previous shipping, receiving, inventory, or material-handling experience is preferred.
- Some travel may be required.
Safety Requirements
- Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Must be able to lift, move, and handle materials as needed throughout the shift, safely operate material-handling equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
