- Building Automation Systems (BAS) Assistant Project Manager**Position Title:** Building Automation Systems (BAS) Assistant Project Manager **Position Type:** Full-Time **Reports to:** BAS Project Manager / BAS Division Manager **Location:** Franklin Office / In Person / OnsiteApply Now### General DescriptionLee Mechanical is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Building Automation Systems (BAS) Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of temperature controls and building automation projects. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in project management while working alongside experienced BAS Project Managers and Operations leadership.The BAS Assistant Project Manager will assist with planning, coordination, scheduling, procurement, documentation, and field support throughout every phase of a project. This position plays a vital role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards while developing the skills necessary to advance into a BAS Project Manager role.### Essential Duties & Responsibilities:* Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of BAS and temperature controls projects.* Review project drawings, specifications, control sequences, and contract documents.* Support project scheduling, material procurement, equipment tracking, and delivery coordination.* Coordinate with engineering teams, field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.* Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.* Monitor project progress and assist in resolving scheduling or field coordination issues.* Help maintain project budgets, cost tracking, and labor reporting.* Attend project meetings and communicate project updates with internal teams and customers.* Support field technicians during installation, commissioning, startup, and system turnover.* Assist with punch list completion, project closeout documentation, and final customer deliverables.* Ensure projects are executed in accordance with Lee Mechanical’s safety and quality standards.* Continue developing technical and project management skills through hands-on experience and mentorship.### Qualifications:* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or a related field preferred.* Equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.* Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC Controls, Mechanical Construction, Project Coordination, or a related field preferred.* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.* Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.### Preferred Skills:* Familiarity with HVAC systems, temperature controls, or building automation systems.* Experience with project documentation, procurement, or construction coordination.* Understanding of commissioning, startup, or controls integration is a plus.* Estimating skills are a plus but not required.* Knowledge of commercial construction or data center projects is beneficial but not required.### Equal Opportunity StatementAt Lee Companies, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
