Surgical Tech II

Role Overview Performs specialized technical duties in the surgical or procedural environment under supervision, assisting the surgical team with equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe and functional operating room environment. Key Responsibilities Support the surgical team by preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies. Ensure all required equipment is available and properly functioning during procedures. Qualifications & Skills Education: High School Diploma required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program is preferred. Experience: At least 1 year of surgical technician experience; preferred experience as a surgical tech. Certifications & Licenses: Certification as a Surgical Technician by recognized boards (required within 90 days of hire); licensure from recognized programs or military/public health service is preferred. Additional Certifications: BLS certification required; other relevant certifications by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or the National Center for Competency Testing are preferred.
