About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager / Director of Pharmacy for a 13-week contract in Newport, Oregon. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations and maintaining effective management controls to support the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of pharmacy services.
The Pharmacy Manager will plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and evaluate departmental activities and costs while supporting pharmacy staff and clinical operations. The role also includes medication preparation and dispensing, assessment of patient clinical status, provision of drug information to the medical team, and patient education.

Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and evaluate pharmacy department operations, activities, staffing functions, and associated costs.
- Maintain effective management controls to support efficient, safe, and high-quality pharmacy services.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and operational support to pharmacy staff while promoting effective departmental performance.
- Prepare and dispense medications, assess patient clinical status, and support optimization of medication therapy.
- Provide drug information to physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams while educating patients regarding medications and treatment.
- Minimum 2 Years of Pharmacist Experience Required; Pharmacy Leadership Experience Required.
- Current, Unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist License Required.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification Required.
- Current ACLS Certification Required.
- Must Meet One of the Required Experience or Residency Pathways: ASHP-Accredited PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership Residency; ASHP-Accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency Plus 1 Year of Pharmacist Experience; 2 Years of Pharmacist Experience; or 1 Year of Leadership Experience Plus 1 Year of Pharmacist Experience.
