Preventative Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Overview Evermore Orlando Resort offers upscale vacation homes, flats, and villas on 1,100 acres near Walt Disney World. The resort includes a beach paradise, two Jack Nicklaus championship golf courses, water sports, a family water slide, rope swing, pickleball, bocce ball, and volleyball. Key Responsibilities Greet guests and fellow team members, answer inquiries, and provide directions in a courteous manner. Perform minor repairs and replacements on interior and exterior items including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, televisions, lighting, woodwork, drywall, painting, flooring, and furniture. Gather and organize necessary supplies, tools, and equipment. Complete all maintenance tasks in a timely manner while adhering to trade standards and codes. Identify problems, initiate and complete work orders, and maintain repair logs. Conduct preventative maintenance and keep detailed logs. Use the property maintenance software program and update information via a smart device. Complete inspections and checklists, and correct noted problems. Maintain a parts list for each equipment piece. Coordinate and schedule maintenance programs with managers in various resort areas. Use fire extinguishers and other life‑safety systems correctly. Operate a motor vehicle with a standard or automatic transmission on private and public roadways. Use proper personal protective equipment. Keep storage areas clean, organized, and stocked. Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures. Report maintenance defects to the manager. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Skills & Experience High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent. Valid Florida driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. Vocational or technical training related to the position is preferred. Experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry. Ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to use and understand smartphone applications. Attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Capacity to perform in a busy work environment. Capability to work scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays. Physical Requirements Able to stand, walk, crawl, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach repeatedly. Able to safely lift up to 75 pounds and to carry, pull, and push heavy objects and materials. Able to work safely and comfortably at open heights. Able to climb and work on ladders and scaffolding. Able to remain on feet and move around for the entire shift.
