Vice President, Donor Engagement & Experience About the Company Mission-driven university foundation Industry Fund-Raising Type Privately Held Founded 2001 Employees 11-50 About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President for Donor Engagement and Experience to lead the strategic and creative development of a comprehensive engagement strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and elevating the company's approach to engaging its diverse community of alumni and supporters. This role is pivotal in strengthening the donor journey and requires a visionary leader who can integrate events, communications, stewardship, and data-driven insights to deliver meaningful and personalized experiences. The Vice President will also be tasked with inspiring and supporting a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that all interactions reflect the values and aspirations of the institution. Candidates for the Vice President position should have a bachelor’s degree, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least ten years of experience in advancement, development, or nonprofit leadership. A deep understanding of donor psychology, relationship management, and the motivations that drive philanthropy is essential. Experience in higher education advancement and donor relations, as well as familiarity with comprehensive campaigns and various giving levels, is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, both in writing and verbally, and an exceptional relationship builder with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders. Openness to innovation, including experience with emerging technologies and digital engagement platforms, is also a key requirement for this role.
