As an Expediter, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expediting orders through effective communication and organization. You will liaise with suppliers to obtain order updates, manage backlogged orders, and ensure timely processing and acknowledgment of purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expedite orders via email and phone.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain order updates and status.
• Review and update backlogged orders, informing the inside sales team of any changes.
• Track the company's Open Purchase Order report to ensure timely acknowledgments and updated ship dates, and communicate changes to the buyer and inside sales representative.
• Collaborate with the team on acknowledging purchase orders.
• Assist with system pricing updates as assigned.
• Provide requisition purchasing support to team members.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel basics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in logistics and expediting materials.
• Ability to manage inventory and perform data entry efficiently.
• A positive attitude and a self-starter mindset.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
