Our organization is currently in search of a full-time physician specializing in Infectious Diseases to join our faculty team. Become part of a well-established and expanding Infectious Disease Division located in one of the most culturally rich neighborhoods globally. Our outpatient services are nationally acclaimed for their excellence in primary HIV care and feature a growing prevention initiative focused on Sexual Health, as well as HIV PEP and PrEP. Additionally, our ambulatory services encompass the management of viral hepatitis, general infectious diseases, tuberculosis, and various tropical infections. Our inpatient Consult Teams cater to a diverse patient population from all departments. The hospital serves as a primary site for the Infectious Disease Fellowship associated with our institution, allowing you to engage in the education of fellows, residents, and medical students, providing excellent opportunities for academic advancement!

As an attending physician within the Infectious Disease Division, your role will encompass clinical care, consultation, and education, significantly impacting the understanding, prevention, and teaching of infectious diseases.

• Provide infectious disease consultations to all inpatient services, including active supervision and mentorship of ID Fellows on the teaching service.

• Deliver primary HIV care to a designated panel of patients in an outpatient setting, with opportunities to mentor ID Fellows and medical residents during continuity clinics.

• Offer infectious disease consultations for outpatient patients, including oversight of trainees during select sessions.

• Engage in medical education by teaching students, leading rounds, delivering lectures, and guiding trainees in clinical reasoning and diagnostic problem-solving.

• Contribute to institutional initiatives such as referral reviews, committee involvement, quality improvement projects, and collaboration with home care staff and public health organizations.

• Fulfill on-call responsibilities remotely, with ID Fellows acting as the first point of contact. Weekend on-call coverage occurs during the ID consult rotation and is primarily conducted from home.

Applicants must possess an MD degree and be board certified or board eligible in Infectious Diseases, along with a valid New York State License, DEA, and Medicaid number. We encourage Spanish speakers to apply. A faculty appointment with our institution will be offered, commensurate with your credentials, experience, and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a highly competitive compensation and benefits package, including CME opportunities. Compensation ranges from $242,000 to $270,000 FTE, annualized, which includes on-call coverage and faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
