Join Our Team as an Inpatient Psychiatrist

Become a part of a mission-focused, diverse team at our organization as an Inpatient Psychiatrist within our 40-bed adult psychiatric unit located in Sanford, Maine. We are looking for both full-time and per diem psychiatrists who are dedicated to providing compassionate, collaborative care for individuals facing complex psychiatric and psychosocial challenges.

In this role, you will collaborate with a talented group of nurse practitioners, social workers, behavioral health specialists, and supportive programming staff in an environment that prioritizes teamwork, innovation, and continuity of care. This position offers a unique chance to influence treatment strategies, deliver direct therapeutic and pharmacological interventions, and significantly enhance the lives of patients—all while maintaining a healthy work-life balance in the picturesque setting of Southern Maine.

• Lead and coordinate compassionate care for patients with complex psychiatric needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct therapeutic and pharmacological interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development.

• Graduation from an Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School.
• Completion of an internship and psychiatric residency, along with any fellowship training.
• Current or eligible physician licensure from the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine.
• Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or eligibility for examination, supported by written documentation.
• Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry.
• Possession of a current DEA Registration Certificate.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience, including residency and/or fellowship training.
• Fulfillment of additional credentialing criteria as outlined in Medical Staff By-laws.
