Junior Field Technician

Job Description Job Description Position Summary: We are looking for motivated, mechanically inclined individuals to join our expanding workforce. As a Junior Field Technician, you will work alongside our senior team, gaining hands-on experience in the service and support of heavy-duty vehicle lifting systems. This role is designed for those who have a strong aptitude for mechanical work and are eager to learn the technical intricacies of our industry. Key Responsibilities: Support & Collaboration: Work closely with senior technicians and management on major repairs, installations, and routine maintenance tasks. Troubleshooting: Assist in mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repairs, demonstrating an eagerness to learn testing protocols. Documentation: Accurately complete service reports/work orders and inspection documentation for all site visits. Technical Growth: Develop an understanding of electrical-mechanical and hydraulic systems; learn to read and utilize schematics. Professional Representation: Represent Hoffman Services Inc. as a professional, expert partner when engaging with customers and distributors. Adaptability: Maintain flexibility regarding work assignments and schedules to meet the needs of our project load. Qualifications: Experience: Prior experience in auto mechanics, electrical fields, general maintenance, or service technology is preferred. Individuals with military, RV, or marine backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Licensing: A valid NJ state driving license, in good standing, with a clean driving record, is required. Education: High School diploma or equivalent is is required. College education is preferred. Attributes: Strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, and a commitment to learning our specialized business. Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Physical: Ability to perform tasks including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, and grasping. Must have good eye/hand/foot coordination.1 Capacity: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and utilize various hand, air, and electric tools. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary.
