Starting at $16.98 per hour | First shift

In this fast-paced, high-energy environment where attention to detail is essential, how do we ensure our grounds and landscaping is kept up and looking good. As a Landscaper team member, you will complete assigned projects throughout the hotel & casino grounds and have the ability to work well in a team. While carrying out the job duties listed below, you will contribute to our continued success by demonstrating unsurpassed guest service, a high level of integrity and ethical standards, and personal and professional dedication to our mission, vision, and values.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  1. Maintain the cleanliness of the grounds and landscaping throughout company properties including but not limited to laying sod; mowing grass using riding or power mowers; planting, watering, and pruning flowers, shrubs, and bushes; raking and mulching grounds; weeding existing plantings; and installing sprinklers.
  2. Maintain appropriate fertilizer level for grass, shrubs, and plants.
  3. Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, pathways, and other required surfaces.
  4. Operate manual and power landscaping equipment safely. Ensure equipment is maintained in proper working condition and report any unsafe conditions to department leadership.
  5. Perform all work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) requirements.
  6. Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience or education in landscaping or horticulture are preferred.
  2. Forklift certification is preferred.
  3. Must have a valid, unexpired Wisconsin Driver's License.
  4. Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  5. The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure and technical manuals, plans, and landscaping prints.
  6. The ability to use landscaping equipment including but not limited to lawnmowers, sweepers, trucks, snow blowers, and power tools safely.
  7. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
  8. The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.
  9. The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  10. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the property for prolonged periods of time in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with assistance. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

The noise level is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free. While performing the duties of this job, the team member frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The team member is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The team member occasionally works at heights.
