Quality Assurance Engineer

Midlevel or Senior QA EngineerWe're looking for a midlevel or Senior QA Engineer who's passionate about quality engineering, automation, and building scalable testing practices from the ground up. You'll help define the future of quality at Plenful, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, and Design to deliver reliable software at startup speed.In your first six months, you'll establish and improve automated testing coverage across our core platform, integrate automated testing throughout our deployment pipeline to reduce regression risk, and build the quality metrics that give engineering teams the confidence to ship faster without sacrificing reliability.What you'll do:Own quality strategy across multiple products and engineering teamsDesign, build, and maintain robust automated test suites for web applications, APIs, backend services, and integrationsDevelop testing frameworks that are scalable, maintainable, and integrated into CI/CD pipelinesPartner with software engineers during feature development to identify quality risks earlyDefine test plans, acceptance criteria, and release readiness for new product initiativesPerform exploratory, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing where appropriateDrive automation-first testing practices while minimizing manual regression testingWork closely with Product Managers and Designers to ensure requirements are testable and completeMonitor production quality metrics and partner with engineering to investigate customer-reported issuesChampion engineering excellence through code reviews of test automation, quality metrics, and continuous process improvementsMentor engineers on testing best practices and help build a culture where quality is everyone's responsibilityYou may be a fit if:You have 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality EngineeringYou've built automated testing frameworks for modern SaaS applicationsYou've tested REST APIs and microservice-based architecturesYou have experience with YAML-based testingYou're proficient with one or more automation frameworks — Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similarYou write automated tests in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#You have a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into deployment workflowsYou have experience with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and modern software development practicesYou're familiar with SQL and validating data across relational databasesYou have strong debugging and root-cause analysis skillsYou communicate well and collaborate easily across Engineering, Product, and DesignBonus points if you:Have tested AI or machine learning-enabled applicationsHave worked with healthcare software or in regulated environmentsAre familiar with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native architecturesHave experience with performance, load, or security testingHave tested workflow automation platforms or enterprise SaaS productsHave exposure to observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, or similarHave worked in fast-paced startup environmentsTechnologies you'll likely work with: Python, TypeScript, React, YAML, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GitHub Actions, Playwright, REST APIs, and AI/LLM integrationsWhy You'll Love Working HereMission-Driven, World-Class Team — Join an exceptional group of professionals aligned around a meaningful mission and committed to making an impactOpportunities for Growth — Strengthen your expertise through collaboration with experienced, high-performing leaders across the organizationFlexible Hybrid Work Environment — We're remote-first, with meaningful office presence in San Francisco and New York.
