Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Software Developer with a minimum of four (4) years of experience managing information technology operations, software development activities, infrastructure, and technology projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, leadership skills, and hands-on experience overseeing software development teams and ensuring adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day IT operations, supporting technology initiatives, overseeing system implementations, ensuring cybersecurity and compliance requirements are met, and partnering with global development teams to oversee the implementation of software solutions, ensuring adherence to established SDLC, change management, quality assurance, and cybersecurity requirements throughout the development and deployment lifecycle. The IT Manager will work closely with business stakeholders to align technology strategies with organizational objectives while maintaining operational excellence and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Operations Management

• Manage and oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, applications, networks, and technology services.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, performance, and security of IT systems and services.
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Monitor system performance and coordinate remediation of operational issues.
• Manage IT vendors, service providers, and technology contracts.

Software Development and SDLC Oversight

• Oversee software development activities and ensure adherence to established SDLC methodologies and best practices.
• Review and approve software development, testing, and deployment processes.
• Ensure appropriate segregation of duties, code review procedures, testing requirements, and change management controls are followed.
• Coordinate development, quality assurance, infrastructure, and business teams to support successful software releases.
• Promote continuous improvement of software engineering and deployment practices.

Change Management and Production Deployments

• Manage and approve technology changes in accordance with organizational change management procedures.
• Oversee code promotion activities across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Ensure all production releases are properly tested, documented, approved, and deployed in a controlled manner.
• Minimize operational risks associated with system changes and deployments.
• Maintain records supporting audit and compliance requirements.

Cybersecurity and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives, including vulnerability management, access reviews, incident response, and security awareness programs.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during assessments and compliance reviews.
• Support compliance efforts related to SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST, and other applicable frameworks.
• Ensure technology controls are implemented and operating effectively.

Team Leadership and Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop IT personnel, including system administrators, developers, and support staff.
• Establish performance objectives and conduct employee evaluations.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Allocate resources effectively to support business priorities and project objectives.
• Identify training and professional development opportunities for team members.

Project and Stakeholder Management

• Lead technology projects from planning through implementation and operational support.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify technology needs and develop solutions.
• Prepare project plans, budgets, status reports, and executive presentations.
• Manage project risks, timelines, and deliverables.
• Communicate technology initiatives and operational performance to leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience managing IT operations, technology teams, or software development functions.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing software development activities and production deployments.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, change management, and IT governance processes.
• Experience managing enterprise systems, applications, and infrastructure environments.
• Experience with vendor management and technology procurement.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and information security best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• IT management experience in a regulated or compliance-driven environment.
• Experience supporting cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, or NIST compliance initiatives.

API Development and Management Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, deployment, and ongoing management of enterprise APIs to support internal applications, third-party integrations, and customer-facing services.
• Establish and enforce API development standards, coding guidelines, documentation requirements, and version control practices to ensure consistency and maintainability.
• Oversee the full API lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, versioning, and retirement.
• Collaborate with development teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to define API requirements and integration strategies that support business objectives.
• Ensure APIs are designed and implemented in accordance with secure coding practices and industry standards, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection requirements.
• Manage API gateways, integration platforms, and associated infrastructure to ensure availability, scalability, performance, and security.
• Establish monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track API performance, availability, usage patterns, and security events.
• Ensure API development activities adhere to the organization's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), change management procedures, and release management processes.
• Partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure API implementations meet applicable regulatory, privacy, and security requirements.
