Job Summary:
As the Engine Shop Lead, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing engine testing operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and effectiveness. Your role will involve coordinating test schedules, leading a team of technicians, analyzing test data, and maintaining testing equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engine testing activities from setup to completion, ensuring compliance with protocols and safety regulations.
- Coordinate test schedules and allocate resources to meet project deadlines.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to a team of technicians.
- Analyze test data and prepare reports for engineering teams and management.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during testing and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and refine testing procedures.
- Maintain documentation related to testing activities and ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in engine testing or a related field.
- Technical knowledge of engine systems and testing methodologies.
- Leadership experience in guiding teams of technicians.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
- Professional certification in engine testing or related area.
- Experience with engine test cell operations and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with industry-standard testing software and tools.
