MRI Technologist Traveler

Location: UCHealth Yampa Valley Med Center, Steamboat Springs, CO, USA Department: Yampa Valley Critical Care Department Work schedule: Full time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $36.00 per hour plus travel package/stipend Local Traveler contract options available for residents within 75 miles. 13‑week assignments available. Position Overview Performs magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities Review patient history, physician's orders and perform scheduling. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered. Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate. Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary. Position patient and perform imaging procedures. Analyze results, identify quality issues, and take appropriate action to resolve them. Enter, transmit, and report scan results. Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Registered as a Radiology Technologist (RT) and registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or eligible for registry within 12 months via the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification. One year of experience.
