Customer Service Representative

Location: 101 W Navajo Dr, Hobbs, New Mexico 88240 United States of America Customer Service Representative U-Haul seeks friendly, motivated individuals to serve as the first point of contact for customers at U-Haul centers. The role involves assisting customers, using technology to dispatch and return equipment, inspecting and maintaining vehicles, and ensuring excellent customer experiences. Responsibilities Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services. Use smartphone‑based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory. Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers. Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, checking fluid levels and overall condition. Answer questions and educate customers about products and services. Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returned from rentals. Install hitches and trailer wiring. Fill propane tanks (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment). Operate a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment). Perform other duties as assigned and participate in continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University. Minimum Qualifications Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. Work Environment The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. Protective clothing or gear (masks, goggles, gloves, shields) may be required. Physical Demands Physical exertion includes long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, reaching objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing at least 50lbs. This can be assisted or unassisted.
