Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) | Utica, NY, United States
Travel temporary assignment starting 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks
Weekly pay: $2,248 - $2,366 per week | Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Shift: 2x3 rotating | Setting: inpatient labor and delivery unit in a hospital

- Travel assignment with a 75-mile radius local rate option if applicable
- Epic/Stork experience required; 4–5 years of L&D experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required
- Floating: may cover MB, pediatrics, or adult floors as needed within scope

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for obstetric patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret fetal heart rate patterns, perform routine obstetric assessments
- Support labor and delivery processes, assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, and provide newborn care
- Administer medications and manage post-delivery recovery plans; coordinate care with obstetric and neonatal teams
- Document care in Epic/Stork accurately and efficiently; ensure compliance with protocols and safety standards
- Assist with triage and admission assessments, respond to obstetric emergencies, and maintain patient and family education
- May float to other units (MB, pediatric, or adult floors) as needed within scope of practice

Requirements
- 4–5 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Obstetric scope knowledge including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, GYN, and newborn care
- Epic/Stork experience required
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including days and nights; RN-to-patient ratios typically 1:1 to 1:2
- Willingness to float to MB, pediatric, or adult floors as needed within scope
