Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Smog Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be able to efficiently perform Smog Inspections and perfrom basic vehicle inspections during service. Candidates are responsible for performing emissions testing and ensuring vehicles meet state and federal environmental standards. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle emissions systems, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various tools. The Smog Technician plays a vital role in maintaining vehicle compliance and supporting overall vehicle maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct emissions tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models using specialized diagnostic equipment
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as inspections, fluid checks, and minor repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate records of testing results and repairs performed for each vehicle
- Ensure all work complies with environmental regulations and safety standards
- Handle heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment safely and efficiently
Experience
- Current Smog License Required
- Experience performing Smog Inspections
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and automotive systems
