FOOD SERVICE SUPERVISOR - FULL TIME

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising teams in various areas of the Food Service Team to ensure that policies and heath safety protocol are maintained.
• Participating in the training, coaching and professional development of the department's team. To ensure efficient and effective staffing and optimal provision of services. To ensure staff are competent, compliant, and confident in their roles.
• Prepare work schedules and assignments, evaluate work performance and make recommendations as needed for the betterment and safety of the department.
• Implements and maintains departmental standards and policies and procedures pertaining to Food Service, sanitation, housekeeping and safety to ensure optimal provision of food service
• Strong conflict and resolution capabilities. Through holding yourself and staff members accountable when matters are not carried out according to protocol.
• Clear and concise communication capabilities with Management, Colleagues, Diet Technicians, Aides, Porters, Prep-Aides and support areas to establish and maintain standards and procedures for the efficient, timely and safe delivery of service to patients.
• Checks patient trays for accuracy throughout the patient's meal experience- which includes and is not limited to appearance and portion size of meals. Clear understanding of expectation for the service required for all meal periods with service belt team, Cooks, and all staff that effective the overall service.
• Checks on the preparation/production of items ordered by patients, staff cafeteria and patient room service.
• Ensure that all food items are prepared and served in accordance with Food Services recipes, standards, and procedures
• Assists in all areas needed for patients' meal service, during all stages. Conduct required daily audits, and patient satisfaction questionnaires on a routine basis. Reports findings and recommendations for improvements. Must be familiar with quality control procedures. Experience in working in a fast-paced environment


Qualifications &/ Registration required:
• Two-year Associate's degree in Hotel Restaurant Management, Food Science, Nutrition Management, Culinary Arts, Food Service Management or equivalent. A combination of formal training & on job experience will be considered
• Certification from a recognized institution in Supervisory Managementandservsafe .
• Experience working in large fast paced food production operation
• Minimum of Two years previous Supervisory Management experience, preferably in a hospital setting,


Schedule : 35 hours per week


Shifts : 6:00 am - 2:00 pm / 7:00 am - 3:00 pm / 9:00 am - 5:00 pm / 7:00 am - 7: 35 pm / 10:00am - 6:00 pm / 11:00 am - 7:00 pm / 8:00 am - 4:00 pm/ 12-8 pm /4-8pm or as needed for the efficient management of operation Available to work: Shifts Days/ Evenings/Weekends & Public Holidays as required.


Salary Grade: BP20-22 $86,555.08 - $92,262.97 per annum
