We are looking for a skilled Auto Mechanics to maintain and repair fleet vehicles. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to deliver maximum reliability and functionality. An excellent auto mechanic has good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. They are well-versed in diagnosing and delivering preventative and corrective maintenance.Responsibilities• Inspect fleet vehicles engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately • Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks) • Upload documentation and logs of work via phone to Slick's proprietary software: TruView. • Maintain vans, equipment and tools in good conditionSkills• Proven experience as auto mechanic- High Level Mechanic. • Excellent knowledge of mechanical components of vehicles • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods • Ability to handle various tools and equipment. • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc. • Excellent physical condition • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is nice, as well. • Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus • DOT Certification highly preferredBEFORE applying, know the following: 1. Be prepared to show a track record of working in the automotive industry as a mechanic with the skills needed to deliver preventative and corrective maintenance for fleet vehicles.
