Contract | Nights | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care on a surgical unit specializing in ENT, head and neck, and bariatric surgery patients
• Care for patients with complex airway needs, including those with tracheostomies and laryngectomies
• Monitor and assess patients undergoing general surgery, bariatric surgery, and head and neck surgical procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS as required by unit protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Demonstrated experience as a surgical RN, with proficiency in general surgery, bariatric surgery, and/or head and neck surgery

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for patients with tracheostomies and/or laryngectomies
• Background in ENT or specialty surgical nursing
