To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers success as if it is their own./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliStain slides via routine stains, immunostains, and special stains/liliPrepare a wide variety of special stained slides requiring many complex and delicate processes/liliPerform a variety of extremely difficult, delicate, and complex tissue tests/liliPerform sectioning of tissue with the use of a clinical microtome/liliPerform routine and multiple staining of tissue sections including careful timing and counterstaining/liliPerform cover slipping of slides and prepare tissue for electron microscopic study/liliLabel slides for final microscopic examination/liliPerform administrative tasks related to the position such as maintaining records, receiving of patient specimens, labeling of slides and answering telephone inquiries/liliPerforms other duties as assigned relating to the responsibilities of a Histology Technologist/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliA Bachelor-level degree in a related field from an accredited educational institution/liliASCP professional certification or equivalent Nationally-recognized Histology Technologist certification or categorical certification in histopathology/liliA minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years (2-3 years in an acute care setting is preferred)/liliExperience in U.S. Government facilities in preferred/liliNo sponsorship available/li/ulpPay Range: $28.06 - $52.00 hourly/ppAll candidates must be able to: Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift. Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist. Lift up to 20 lbs. Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
