Prevention Specialist

Integrated Prevention Specialist (GS‑0101‑11) Location: Office of the Installation Commander – Installation Integrated Resilience Office (IRO), Beale AFB, Marysville, CA. Salary Range: $82,780 – 107,620 (DOE). Job Overview: The primary purpose is to serve at an Air or Space Force installation, completing administrative functions and budget execution while implementing primary prevention education and training for the entire base population. The incumbent collaborates with IRO partners to coordinate prevention activities, effectively reducing sexual assault, harassment, family violence, workplace violence, suicide, and alcohol misuse. Key Responsibilities Perform administrative tasks related to prevention programs. Execute budgets for prevention activities. Administer primary prevention education and training to the base population. Collaborate with IRO partners to coordinate and integrate prevention activities to mitigate negative outcomes such as sexual assault, harassment, family violence, workplace violence, suicide, and alcohol misuse. Qualifications and Requirements U.S. citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain a “Secret” security clearance. Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral, social science, or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience. Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and public health practices regarding violence prevention. Comprehensive understanding of delivery systems for violence prevention. Proficiency in curriculum and training design, delivery, and evaluation. Skill in office automation tools for documents, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs. Must obtain and maintain required credentials for the position. Must meet DoD and DAF screening/suitability criteria. Highly Desired Experience in primary prevention initiatives. Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field. Other Information Must be able to serve a 1‑year probationary period (or 2‑year trial period depending on the selected role).
