This role is fully remote, allowing therapists to deliver services in the comfort of the client's home or through our digital platforms. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Facilitate individualized in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, tailoring approaches to address the specific needs of each child.

  • Implement strategies for anger management, coping skills, and social skills development, aiming to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.

  • Work alongside families to enhance decision-making skills, promoting effective management of in-home behavioral challenges and improving overall family dynamics.

  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure consistent support for the youth and family, fostering collaborative relationships with Child Family Treatment Team members and professionals from other disciplines.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intakes, treatment plans, and progress notes, complying with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

  • Participate in monthly team meetings to provide insights and recommendations for program improvement and client support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 3-20 with developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD). By understanding their unique needs and challenges, you’ll collaborate with families to create effective treatment plans that promote well-being and facilitate development. This role provides an opportunity to work with a diverse cross-section of youth, making a significant difference in their lives.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

  • A valid and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is essential.

  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 pm - 7 pm), with weekend availability considered a plus.

  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a registered vehicle for traveling to client locations.

  • Pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience in providing positive behavior support is highly desirable.

  • Previous work with children and families facing challenges related to intellectual and developmental disabilities is advantageous.

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is preferred, enhancing your ability to connect with a broader client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n
