About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Facilities Management to provide strategic and hands-on leadership for the comprehensive oversight of all facilities operations, infrastructure, and systems across a large mixed-use campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning facilities management initiatives with organizational, financial, and sustainability goals, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and tenant satisfaction. This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team, including specialized maintenance trades and custodial operations, and requires expertise in building maintenance, custodial services, building systems, infrastructure, and sustainability practices. The SVP will also be tasked with developing and implementing short and long-term strategies for repair and preventive maintenance, driving sustainability and energy performance improvements, and overseeing large-scale procurement and performance of service contracts. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field, with at least 12 years of progressive leadership experience in facilities or property management. A strong background in asset lifecycle management, long-term capital planning, and experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is essential. The role demands a candidate with excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to lead, motivate, and cultivate a positive culture for large, multidisciplinary, and unionized workforces. Familiarity with building codes, local permitting processes, and regulatory agencies, particularly in New York City, is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), LEED AP, or Green Associate, and experience with Yardi Facilities Management, are preferred.
