As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a crucial role in patient care by accurately screening and interpreting cytology slides. Your responsibilities will include:

• Screening pap smears and non-gynecological slides, reporting results according to established protocols
• Reviewing patient history in association with screening cytology slides
• Documenting workload and submitting weekly reports for review
• Collaborating with Pathologists to review discrepant cases and improve quality patient care
• Maintaining a False Negative Proportion (FNP) of 1-2% of the lab average, not exceeding a 5% overall FNP
• Ensuring an 80-100% Diagnostic Correlation with the Pathologist
• Maintaining gyn statistical analysis rates of 5% as compared to the laboratory's overall rates
• Completing special assignments as designated by the supervisor in a timely and professional manner
• Assisting with Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) adequacy assessments throughout various procedure areas in the hospital

Requirements for this role include:

• Need 2 years experience in setting
• Registered as a Cytotechnologist through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (CT-ASCP) or with an International Accreditation (CT-IAC)
• Bachelor's degree in a Science-related field, or a Master's degree if the Bachelor's is in a non-science field
• Experience with ROSE/FNA adequacy assessments is highly preferred
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred
