Title: Commodity Pricing & Market Strategy Manager (Plumbing / PVF Wholesale Distribution)

Location: Staten Island, NY/Bayonne, NJ (On-Site)

Compensation: $90,000–$150,000+, with flexibility for exceptional industry expertise

We are looking for: We're looking for a true plumbing commodities market expert who understands not only the products, but how they're priced, how the market moves, and what drives competitive pricing across New York City, New York, and New Jersey.

This is a high-impact opportunity to help shape pricing strategy for hundreds of millions of dollars in commodity sales within a rapidly growing, established plumbing wholesale distribution business.

We're not looking for someone who simply manages pricing data or updates ERP systems. We need someone who knows the market, understands where pricing is heading, and can help leadership make smarter, more proactive pricing decisions.

What You'll Do

• Analyze market conditions, manufacturer pricing, commodity trends, and competitive activity across the NY/NJ plumbing and PVF markets.
• Develop strategic pricing recommendations for copper, cast iron, PVC, steel, pipe, fittings, and related plumbing commodities.
• Anticipate manufacturer price increases and market shifts, recommending when and how to adjust pricing.
• Evaluate pricing multipliers, competitive positioning, and opportunities to strengthen margins while maintaining market competitiveness.
• Work directly with senior leadership on pricing strategy, participating in regular market and pricing reviews.
• Partner with the existing Pricing Manager, who oversees ERP pricing implementation and execution.
• Expand pricing intelligence and strategy across additional product categories as the business continues to grow.

What We're Looking For

• Deep industry expertise is essential. Extensive knowledge of plumbing commodities, particularly copper, cast iron, PVC, steel, pipe, and fittings.
• Strong NY/NJ market knowledge. A thorough understanding of regional wholesale pricing, manufacturers, competitive dynamics, and market trends.
• Approximately 7–10+ years of relevant experience in plumbing/PVF wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or supply.
• The ability to translate market intelligence into actionable pricing recommendations.
• Experience in commodity management, purchasing, product/category management, or pricing strategy.
• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to anticipate pricing trends rather than simply react to them.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with a small team and directly advising senior leadership.
