Role Description The Accounting Specialist role at Svarin Creative is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Chicago Area. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including recording and reconciling daily transactions, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and processing accounts payable and receivable. The Accounting Specialist will manage journal entries, monitor budgets, support payroll preparation, and ensure that financial data is up to date and compliant with relevant policies. The role also involves working closely with management to provide financial reports, generate project-specific certificates of insurance, support decision-making, and assist with forecasting and expense tracking related to event projects. Qualifications 3-5-years Accounting/Bookkeeping experience, with experience managing day-to-day transactional records and account reconciliations. Ability to prepare, review, and interpret Financial Statements to support reporting and budgeting. Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with Quickbooks Online and related tools for maintaining ledgers and generating financial reports. Skill in creating and posting accurate Journal Entries (Accounting), including adjustments and period-end closing activities. Bachelor’s or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; professional certification is a plus. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced creative environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Previous experience in a small business, creative agency, or event-focused company is beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
