Quality Assurance Specialist

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a leading life sciences and healthcare organization known for developing and supporting innovative products in a highly regulated quality environment in Greenville, NC. Position Details Location: Greenville, NC Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite Pay Rate: Up to $27/hour Contract: 1-year contract with potential for direct hire Schedule: 12-hour shift, 2-2-3 rotation Hours: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM Travel: Less than 15% may be required Interview: [Interview format] Position Overview The Quality Assurance Specialist will support day-to-day quality operations while working directly with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to identify, investigate, and resolve quality-related issues. This position will be responsible for executing core Quality Assurance processes, including customer complaints, product quarantine and recovery, quality investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), change notifications, quality reporting, customer surveys, internal audits, and continuous improvement initiatives The ideal candidate will have experience working in a regulated ISO and/or FDA environment , strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day execution of core Quality Assurance processes. Process and distribute customer complaints and identify issues requiring escalation. Work with Customer Service to fully document customer allegations and coordinate product returns for evaluation. Coordinate quality investigations with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Review and communicate root cause and corrective actions resulting from quality investigations. Facilitate product quarantine, recovery, and disposition activities. Support quality issues involving products that may have regulatory or legal considerations. Process change notifications, customer surveys, quality certificates, and related quality documentation. Collect, analyze, and report quality data. Run database queries and prepare quality reports and metrics. Support customer surveys and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) Create, revise, and maintain QA procedures and work instructions Participate in internal audits of the Quality Management System (QMS) Support continuous improvement initiatives using Practical Process Improvement (PPI), Lean, Six Sigma , or similar methodologies. Develop and distribute supplier and team performance metrics. Provide training and presentations on QA processes to departments outside of Quality Assurance. Support projects and other quality-related initiatives as assigned. Maintain accurate and timely quality records in accordance with applicable procedures and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field such as: Engineering Chemistry Biology Mathematics Or a related discipline Equivalent relevant technical/scientific experience may be considered. 2+ years of experience working in an ISO-regulated and/or FDA cGMP environment. Experience working directly with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters. Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and problem solving Strong understanding of quality systems and regulated manufacturing environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with a sense of urgency. Strong computer, analytical, and data-management skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Preferred Experience Experience with: ISO 13485 FDA cGMP Quality Management Systems (QMS) CAPA Customer complaints Supplier quality Internal or external auditing MasterControl or similar quality management systems Six Sigma Lean Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Minitab Pareto charts Run charts Flowcharting Pivot tables Data analysis and reporting Oracle or similar database systems Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint Lead Auditor experience is a plus.
