Tech - X-ray/Rad Tech

Job Description

Job Summary:

Performs a variety of radiologic imaging procedures, primarily X-ray, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Operates imaging equipment with technical proficiency and provides excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Position patients accurately and ensure comfort during imaging procedures.
• Operate and maintain radiologic equipment in accordance with departmental standards.
• Capture high-quality images as ordered, ensuring proper identification and documentation.
• Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures to foster confidence.
• Notify physicians of imaging results promptly and accurately.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, policies, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of X-ray technologist experience required.
• Valid licensing credentials in radiologic technology, such as ARRT or equivalent.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot X-ray and radiologic equipment.
• Must have experience working in fast-paced healthcare settings.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Must hold a state license, verification of Michigan license via LARA and Nursys if applicable.
