This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.We are currently seeking candidates for a part-time weekend Embryology Laboratory Assistant to work in our fast paced, high volume, Embryology Lab located at our Fairfax, VA office. This position will be every other weekend (Sat/Sun), 6:30am-3:00pm.How You'll Contribute:We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn't specifically our "job." In general, the weekend Embryology Lab Assistant is responsible for:Administrative duties and data entry to support the lab teamMedia and dish preparationAssist in proper sample identification (chain of custody)Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for equipment used in the IVF laboratoryWhat You'll Bring:The skills and education we need are:Coursework in biology science or related field preferredTraining is provided but a minimum of one year clinical/research laboratory experience preferred.Tissue culture experience a plus.A great opportunity for individuals interested in gaining laboratory experience and exposure to a successful fertility practice.More important than the best skills, however, is the right person.
