Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE

Must-Have: 2+ years of circulating C-Sections required. 2+ years of previous Labor and Delivery experience required. BLS through AHA required. ACLS through AHA required. NRP required. STABLE required.

Description: The role involves care of the laboring patient. Nursing duties include supporting vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Care of couplets is also required. Experience with EPIC Stork documentation is important. Fetal monitoring will utilize a Centricity system. A Pyxis medication system will be employed. The nurse will typically work 1:1 with patients, possibly 1:2 during early labor or induction. For couplet care, the ratio can be 1:3. The nurse will coordinate with a shift nurse lead and at least 6 other Labor and Delivery nurses. Floating to meet needs within different facilities will be expected. Work may include weekends, with 3 out of 4 weekends scheduled. There is no call requirement for the position. The department comprises 16 labor and delivery rooms and 10 labor and delivery rooms in another location. Hospital-provided scrubs will be utilized for the dress code.
