Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Pathologists' Assistant Master's Program. ASCP - PA certification is required. Academic medical center experience is preferred. Candidates must be able to cut and stain frozen sections. Experience in electron microscopy is essential. Candidates should be able to provide macroscopic descriptions of gross anatomic features. The ability to obtain biological samples for flow cytometry is required. Candidates must be capable of obtaining biological samples for immunohistochemistry. Experience in obtaining and reviewing patient clinical information is necessary. Candidates will perform gross examination and dissection of both large and complex specimens and small biopsies. Preparing tissues for histological processing is a responsibility of this role. Sectioning surgical pathology specimens is required.
