We offer a wide range of job opportunities, competitive compensation, full benefits, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan and more.The Commercial Driver (CDL Class A) is responsible for the safe, legal, and efficient operation of commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from project sites. This position is responsible for maintaining full compliance with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), OSHA, state, and local regulations while representing the company in a professional manner. The Commercial Driver is expected to operate safely, perform required inspections, secure all loads properly, maintain accurate records, and protect company personnel, equipment, and the public.What You'll Do:Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safety by complying with all company safety policies, DOT regulations, OSHA requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local lawsSafely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from project sitesConduct required pre-trip, enroute, post-trip, and periodic vehicle inspections in accordance with FMCSA and company requirementsAccurately complete and maintain all DOT-required documentation, including Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs), electronic logging device (ELD) records, hours-of-service (HOS) compliance, and other required documentationPerform or coordinate routine vehicle maintenance and promptly report mechanical defects, safety concerns, or needed repairsVerify that all loads are properly secured, distributed, and transported in compliance with DOT cargo securement regulationsOutbound functions include selecting checking, packing, and shipping ordersInbound functions include receiving, placement and put away of productMust be familiar with the job location and surrounding areasMaintain a clean driving recordPhysical ability to meet DOT health requirementsThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those listed above and other duties may be assigned.What You Bring To Us:High school diploma or equivalentMust have a valid CDL class A licenseMust have 3 years of verifiable experience as a CDL driverValid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)Air Brake EndorsementCurrent DOT Medical Examiner's CertificateWhat You'll Need To Be Successful:Must have thorough knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance, and transportation of materialMust successfully complete DOT required drug and alcohol testing requirementsExcellent customer service skillsProficient in using a mobile deviceAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessaryAbility to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitudeEffective oral and written communication skills as required for the positionAbility to speak, read and write in EnglishAbility to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team playerAbility to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and othersWorking Conditions:General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
