Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

This is a full-time position with guaranteed hours preferred. The ideal candidate will begin on December 14th and will work in a dedicated Telemetry unit.

Unit Overview

The unit is a 25-bed Telemetry unit, primarily focused on renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general medical-surgical patients. The environment prioritizes safety and quality of care, with a strong emphasis on compliance in documentation and infection control procedures.

Unit Specifics:

• Patient Ratios: 4-5 patients per nurse
• Staffing: Includes unit secretaries and technicians
• Type of Equipment: EKG, bladder scanner, sit-to-stand lifts, Hoyer lifts, hover mats, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensers
• Documentation System: Meditech - EBCD
• Scheduling Requirements: Minimum of three shifts per week and every third weekend
• Floating Policy: May float to similar units (Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Obs, Rehab)

Nurse Leader Rounds are conducted daily for each patient, including pre-rounds to understand preferred names and personal connections, as well as post-rounds to evaluate care standards and recognize exceptional patient feedback.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Basic Dysrhythmia knowledge
• A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Advanced Skills Needed:

Basic medical-surgical procedures

Dress Code

Uniform requirements include royal blue scrub tops with either royal blue or black pants, and grey, white, black, or royal blue undershirts.
