About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Acute care facility experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required - AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Recognizes the importance of safety and well-being for associates and patients. Ensures compliance with vaccination requirements as a condition of employment. Engages in a collaborative work environment with a focus on patient care. Utilizes relevant technology and resources to enhance patient outcomes and operational effectiveness.
