Step into a meaningful contract role supporting students as a Physical Therapist in a school-based environment near Danbury, CT. This onsite position is designed to cover a leave of absence and spans from November 2, 2026, to January 4, 2027, with the possibility of extension. Working three days each week, you’ll have the chance to make a direct impact on students’ functional mobility and educational access.
What we’re seeking:
- Current Physical Therapy license valid in Connecticut
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting
- Strong understanding of IEP-driven therapy and best practices for supporting students with diverse needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers
- Skilled in time management, written documentation, and effective communication
- Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based PT services to students according to their Individualized Education Plans
- Conducting assessments and evaluations as needed to support student progress
- Keeping thorough, compliant daily notes and documentation
- Educating staff and families on strategies for improving student mobility and participation
- Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and collaboratively developing interventions
- Tracking and reporting progress, as well as adapting interventions as required
