Per Diem Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Role: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities: Operate and perform Nuclear Medicine procedures including PET/CT and Cardiac exams, prepare and inject radiopharmaceuticals, review orders, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, maintain accurate records, and perform quality control tests. Adjust technical factors based on patient needs, handle radioactive materials safely, and ensure proper documentation of patient information. Keep supervisors informed of department activities and demonstrate cultural competence in patient care. Qualifications & Skills: CA Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) license and BLS certification required. Preferred: ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification. Ability to operate Nuclear Med equipment, handle radioactive materials safely, and provide excellent patient care. Strong communication skills and knowledge of growth and development across diverse populations. Key Duties: Prepare isotope kits, calculate doses, perform scans, log data, dispose of radioactive materials, perform quality assurance, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and Joint Commission regulations. Adjust procedures based on patient-specific factors and obtain pertinent clinical information.
