COLD FOOD (SALAD) (FULL TIME)

Position: COLD FOOD (SALAD) Location: Nomura – 309 West 49th Street, 25th Floor, New York, NY 10019 Full‑time position; Monday through Friday. Hours may vary. Fixed pay rate: $20.00 per hour Previous deli cooking and sanitation experience preferred; willingness to train required. Job Summary Cuts delicatessen meats, vegetables, and cheeses with slicing machine, knives or other cutters. Prepares and serves sandwiches, salads, and other cold food items. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from chef. Prepare sandwich meats, cheeses, condiments, and salads using approved production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control. Stock and replenish deli/cold products and condiments following approved merchandising guidelines. Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from the workstation, stove, and refrigerator. Store food in designated areas following HACCP standard wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures. Clean, sanitize, and maintain counters, work surfaces, refrigeration units, and floors in the preparation and serving areas. Place meat, cheese or vegetables on cutting board and cut slices to designated thickness; position and clamp on slicing machine. Interact with coworkers to ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures. Maintain a clean, safe work environment to comply with sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous deli cooking and sanitation experience preferred. Willingness to receive training.
