Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN with at least 1 year of specialty experience and NJ or compact RN licensure for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting averaging 3-4 patients daily across 7 rooms
• Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• May float within scope to Mother/Baby and Nursery, including serving as baby catcher
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system
• One summer holiday, one winter eve, and one winter night shift assigned based on need

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Must be able to scrub and circulate for C-sections
• Experience with fetal monitoring, high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, C-section recovery, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum care required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
• Support high-risk and routine deliveries as part of a collaborative care team
• Scrubs are provided
• Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at a differential rate
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for the local rate
