Shipping Clerk

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for managing daily shipping tasks, ensuring accurate and timely handling of all shipments. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and has a basic understanding of logistics operations.
Job Responsibilities:
• Handle and document all outgoing shipments.
• Record shipments and receipts accurately in the ERP system.
• Coordinate with carriers for scheduling pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure proper packaging and labeling of goods.
• Assist in optimizing warehouse space utilization.
• Participate in cycle counting and inventory management.
• Conduct basic inspections to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards.
• Resolve minor discrepancies in shipments and report issues to the supervisor.
• Follow established shipping procedures.
Job Requirements:
• Basic proficiency in using warehouse management systems (ERP).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and carriers.
• Ability to solve basic problems and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, and move around the warehouse during the work shift.
• Perform physical tasks related to shipping and receiving activities.
