Whistler Partners is working with a fast-growing fintech company in New York looking to add a Legal Operations professional to its legal team. This is a high-ownership role for someone who knows how to keep a busy legal function moving. The team is looking for a person who can manage contracts, deadlines, requests, documentation, and day-to-day legal workflows without needing constant direction. The right person will sit at the center of the legal team and help create the operational structure that allows attorneys and business stakeholders to move quickly without losing control of the details. This is not a traditional administrative support role. You will be expected to take ownership, spot problems early, build better systems, and make sure important work actually gets finished. Key Responsibilities Own the contract lifecycle process from intake and routing through signature and storage. Track regulatory, compliance, legal, and other key deadlines across the team. Triage incoming legal requests and route them efficiently with the right context and level of urgency. Prepare, proofread, and organize NDAs, vendor agreements, internal materials, and other legal documents. Identify issues that need attorney review and escalates them before they become problems. Maintain clean, organized legal and compliance records so information can be found quickly. Build and improve contract trackers, intake processes, filing systems, vendor logs, and other legal operations tools. Support senior legal professionals with scheduling, document preparation, and confidential communications. Coordinate approvals, signatures, and follow-up across legal and business teams. Identify process gaps and create practical systems that make the legal function faster and more reliable. Help the team stay ahead of competing priorities in a fast-changing environment. About You 2+ years of experience in legal operations, legal support, paralegal or an executive assistant role supporting a legal or compliance team. Experience managing contracts, legal workflows, compliance calendars, or other deadline-driven processes. Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. Strong written communication and proofreading skills. Ability to manage multiple matters independently and follow them through to completion. Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly. Experience supporting senior attorneys or legal executives. Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information. Track record of building or improving systems, workflows, or internal processes. Prior experience in fintech, digital assets/blockchain, financial services, technology, or another regulated industry preferred. Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools, project management platforms, or documentation systems preferred. Comfortable taking initiative and solving problems without waiting for detailed instructions.
