Sr Supply Chain Analyst

Job Summary This role is responsible for analyzing, planning, and optimizing supply chain operations to ensure efficient inventory management and support business objectives. It combines operational supply chain planning with analytics, forecasting, KPI reporting, and the development of actionable insights. The position prepares reports, identifies process improvement opportunities across inventory, distribution, and purchasing, and partners cross‑functionally to drive operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead cross‑functional collaboration with the plant purchasing team to develop inventory strategies that ensure timely inventory supply at appropriate stock levels. Receive production schedules from the plant planning team and perform detailed analysis to determine supply variances. Analyze inventory and supply data and present findings in written documentation and presentation materials. Report on supply‑chain KPIs, track exceptions, assemble data, identify problems, and develop recommendations to enhance purchasing operations. Oversee development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of key data sets (e.g., low inventory warning reports, on‑time delivery, purchase order cost history). Implement innovations and continuous improvements in reporting processes. Perform necessary functions within SAP, including reviewing inventory reports, ensuring inventory accuracy, and conducting root‑cause analyses for significant discrepancies. Partner with Finance and Supply‑Chain leadership to support budgeting, forecasting processes, and financial inventory analysis. Lead or participate in cross‑functional strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned. Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on reporting and analytics. Ensure compliance with company documents, programs, and activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply‑chain, preferably in a pharmaceutical or healthcare‑related industry. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to disseminate information clearly. Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Experience with SAP is preferred. Effective decision‑making skills and knowledge of supply‑chain & inventory practices. Familiarity with a manufacturing environment is desired.
