Facilities HVAC Maintenance TechnicianClassification: HourlyDepartment: MaintenanceReports to: Facilities SupervisorPosition Summary: Maintain facilities – HVAC Equipment, Aux. Equipment, and grounds.Key Responsibilities:Installing receptacles.Determine department concerns with their current HVAC systemClean/Inspect HVAC systems for effectiveness and safetyPerform necessary repairs and routine maintenanceMaintaining HVAC systems.Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resourcesTroubleshoot HVAC EquipmentPerform 5S activities.Keep HVAC units clean and in working orderPlumbing.Troubleshoot/repair exhaust/supply fansAll other jobs, which pertain to the upkeep of the facilities.Performs other duties as required.Skills & Competencies:Strong verbal and written communicationExcellent problem solving and time managementAbility to work well in a multi-cultural environmentWilling to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environmentMust be able to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes and maintenance type vehicles.Ability to oversee contractorsComputer skillsEducation & Experience:2+ years' work experience in HVAC type maintenanceCurrent State HVAC technician License or Completion of an HVAC Training program at a vocational school or apprenticeshipCertification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants requiredWork Environment & Physical Requirements:Able to work in high places with aerial lifts and laddersAble to lift heavy objectsAble to sit, bend, kneel, stand and walk.Able to work in extreme heat and cold.Willingness to learn and work to be the best of his/her abilities as well to help the Kobe Team to grow from your experience.Proficient with manual/power tools, multimeter, and able to solder copperReliable and self-motivated
