Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week day shift contract at an outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Stockton, CA, with a minimum of 1 year of experience required.

Requirements

• Active CA PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Proficiency in EMR for documentation, evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
• Computer skills including typing, Microsoft Word, and internet navigation required
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and PT billing procedures, including Medicare, workers' comp, and private pay
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, assist with patient transfers, and remain physically mobile during 8–10 hour shifts involving sitting, walking, and prolonged standing
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, developing rehabilitation programs, and guiding patient care through all phases of treatment and follow-up
• Supervises PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
• Collaborates with physicians, front office staff, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated, quality patient care
• Responsible for accurate chart documentation, prescription follow-up, authorization tracking, and test result management
• Expected to maintain familiarity with HIPAA policies and actively protect patient privacy
• May be involved in business marketing and referral outreach as needed
