Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Cytotechnologist for a travel position responsible for reading PAP smears and non-GYN slides. The role involves molecular testing on PAP vials, grossing, and cytology processing to support diagnostic accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Perform screening of 40-80 cytology slides daily with precision and efficiency.
• Prepare, stain, and evaluate cytology specimens while maintaining quality standards.
• Conduct molecular testing on PAP vials and assist with specimen grossing procedures.
• Maintain detailed and accurate computerized patient records.
• Assist with specimen collection as requested by the department.
• Adhere to CAP and institutional guidelines to ensure diagnostic consistency.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an ABHES-accredited school of cytotechnology or meet CAP qualifications for Cytotechnologist.
• Hold an active Cytotechnologist CT (ASCP) certification.
• Possess an associate degree; bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Cytotechnologist in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of cytology processing and screening.
