\n \nPosition Summary:
\n \nStonehenge is currently seeking a Director in New Haven, Connecticut, to join its Direct Investing team. This position will be a leadership position on the team and will include management of Connecticut-focused funds. The group provides senior term credit, subordinated debt, and equity investments to operating companies and invests capital through its second SBIC, as well as state and federal economic development programs.
\n \nResponsibilities Include
\nFocus on business development for multiple Stonehenge funds providing senior stretch, mezzanine and equity capital in Connecticut and the region.
\n \nRepresent Stonehenge in the Connecticut marketplace through a strong existing referral source network.
\n \nOriginate new investment opportunities through marketing to key referral sources.
\n \nWork closely with regulators to ensure regulatory compliance.

Desired Experience and Skills
\nA deep network within the Connecticut business community and a minimum 8-10 year track record of originating investments in lower middle market businesses.
\n \nFamiliarity with credit underwriting for non-bank transactions.
\n \nA strong work ethic and self-starter mentality, with the ability to create enduring relationships.
\n \nSolid interpersonal skills.
\n \nAn ability to discuss financing options with business owners and management teams.
\n \nUndergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a relevant field of study.
\n \nThe highest degree of ethics and integrity and a “team player” mentality.
